Local products and unique recipes as a modern trend: what can we offer?

On August 12, our long-awaited training on culinary heritage "Local products and unique recipes as a modern trend: what can we offer?" was held at "Studinka" farmstead. It had to be delayed for a long time due to COVID19. And finally we held it in the open air within necessary security measures. The training was held as part of "Women Empowerment in Farming, Rural Tourism and Crafts" project.

Niclas Fjekkström, head of the European Network Culinary Heritage, was the main speaker at the event. He described the main trends in gastronomy and presented the modern ways of promoting traditional products.

Valeria Klitsounova made the presentation on "Gastronomic tourism as a means of regional development", and Darya Pukas presented the comparative analysis results of tourism in Poland and Belarus. Of particular interest were the master classes held by the winners of the project's competition for the best business initiatives. We thank Elena Novik, Natalya Limarenko, Olga Savenok, Vera Minich, Alla Sapezinskaya for presenting their products and dishes: cheese, cream honey, eco-snacks, “taukina”, pancakes, sausage, bacon ("sala"), herbal teas, etc. A more detailed article is to be published soon.
